Queen's South Africa Medal posthumously awarded to 3498 Pte Irving Stanley Hurrey 18th Company, Sixth New Zealand Contingent Shot through the stomach and the liver, died from shock and haemorrhage on the 14th May 1901 at Bethel. His brother also served in Sth Africa at the same time but in another unit and brought the body home when the contingent returned. Extremely rare as only 62 KIA and 4 died from wounds during the campaign. This medal was offered for sale on the open market but failed to sell. Vietnam Service Medals to a veteran of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam, AATTV.The most highly deorated Australian unit of the Vietnam war. They belonged to Bombardier RONALD FREDERICK MILLER service number 218662 of the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery. Mr.Miller served with the AATTV from 12/9/1970 to 2/9/1971 with a Mobile Advisory Training Team 9 ( MATT- 9 ) in Phuoc Loi Province as well as Phuoc Tuy Province.There is seven ( 7 ) researched paper items with the three medals. The medals are the Australian Vietnam Campaign medal, South Vietnamese Government Star and the Australian Active Service medal with clasp for Vietnam.Medal groups to the AATTV very rarely come up for sale and given as well the low number of men who served with AATTV. This medal set was offered for sale on the open market but failed to sell. V.A. MULLARD RAF. A.M. stands for Aircraft mechanic?? Must have been a scarce occupation at that time! RAF is of course the Royal Air force (GB).
