My great grandmother Catherine Devitt nee Stokes died naturally in her rocking chair on her veranda at Red Hill. The next morning my Grandmother and 10 year old mother came to visit and found her with the house open all night. It was obvious someone had been in and the medals and "dead man's penny" were missing from the mantlepiece. The seller refused to give my details to the buyer so that I might buy them back for the family. His brother (my grandfather) was the only one of 4 to survive and have children and apart from my offspring there is only my sister and I left. It would be nice to purchase them back for the family.
