Boer War (Queens South Africa Medal) and First World War Medals (1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal) awarded to Private Alfred WHITE. His service number during the Boer War was 3565 and he served with the Kings Royal Rifle Corps (K.R.R.C). He was in Australia when the First World War broke out and joined the 3rd Infantry Battalion in August 1914. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he embarked on HMAT Euripides on the 20th of October, 1914 from Sydney. He landed at Gallipoli on the 25th of April, 1915 and also fought in the battle of Lone Pine. After Gallipoli, he was temporarily transferred to the 55th Battalion but then posted to the 5th Pioneer Battalion. He was with this unit in France, when he was killed in action on the 30th of October, 1916 by shell fire. Whilst he was buried, his grave was later lost during further fighting and subsequently, his name is recorded on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. The CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) records indicate that his full name was Alfred Henry WHITE, however this is not mentioned at all on his service record. It is therefore assumed that his Memorial Plaque (Dead Man's Penny) is scribed with his full name. The Memorial Plaque was forwarded to his mother who lived in Islington, London England. This medal set was purchased on ebay Australia on the 14th of December, 2010 for $1,762.00 The medals are NOT FOR GENERAL SALE, however - consideration will be given to sell them back to a descendant of Alfred WHITE upon proof of relationship. This is a DUPLICATE entry, based on the fact that his full name may have been Alfred Henry WHITE.

Second World War Medal (1939-1945 War Medal) awarded to Able Seaman Raymond William TUCKER. He was born on the 25th of July, 1924 at Murray Bridge in South Australia. The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that he enlisted into the R.A.N. (Royal Australian Navy) on the 21st of April, 1942 and discharged on the 27th of November, 1944. His next of kin was listed as Jean Nolan and posting on discharge was H.M.A.S. Lonsdale. This medal was "found" on the ground many years ago after an Anzac Day parade by a little girl (who is now an adult - and would like to see the war medal returned to this sailor's family). According to the First World War Embarkation Roll, he boarded HMAT Ballarat from Port Adelaide. I have this soldier's World War 1 Victory Medal and would like to have it returned to his family. This medal will only be returned to a descendant upon proof of relationship and is NOT FOR GENERAL SALE. Many of the records kept in this soldiers's personnel file records his surname as ANTONEY (without the letter 'H') but his name may in fact be spelt ANTHONEY and so a duplicate listing has been made with this detail. He was born in Mannum, South Australia and was a farmer before the war.

Second World War Medal (1939-1945 War Medal) awarded to Sapper Harold Albert ROSS. He was born on the 22nd of December, 1901 at Greenock in South Australia. The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that he enlisted into the Second AIF on the 5th of July, 1940 and discharged on the 29th of June, 1943. Posting on discharge was the 1 Australian Raiway Construction Company. His next of kin was Barbara ROSS. This medal was purchased by Medals Gone Missing on ebay and is NOT FOR GENERAL SALE. It will only be retured to the family upon proof of relationship.

I wish to make contact with the family of Gunner Percy Patrick KERWAN who was born on the 16th of April, 1923 at Newtown in N.S.W. The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that he enlisted on the 2nd of May, 1941 and discharged on the 21st of May, 1946. He served with the 54th Anti Aircraft Battery; and had previously served with the A.M.F (Australian Military Forces) with the service number N109875. First World War medal (Victory Medal) awarded to Private John Henry SCHULTZ of the 21st Infantry Battalion, AIF. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he left Melbourne on the 29th of March, 1916 aboard RMS Orontes. This medal had previously sold on ebay, but was then placed on the open market for a second time and was purchased by Medals Gone Missing. This medal is NO LONGER FOR GENERAL SALE and will only be sold to the family upon proof of relationship.

Second World War Medal (Pacific Star) awarded to Private Stanly Joseph BALDWIN from Adamstown in N.S.W. He was born on the 11th of March, 1907. The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that he enlisted into the Second AIF on the 1st of July, 1940 and discharged on the 3rd of December, 1945. He served with the 2/33rd Infantry Battalion and it is possible that he served on the Kokoda Track. This medal was purchased on ebay by Medals Gone Missing and will only be sold back to the family of Private BALDWIN upon proof of relationship.
