I am searching for the Memorial Plaque (Dead Man's Penny) of Private John James McKENZIE. He was posted as missing in action during the closing stages of the Battle of Pozieres. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (C.W.G.C) records indicate that his date of death was on the 5th of August 1916. He was just 21. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he left Melbourne aboard HMAT Warilda on the 8th of February, 1916. He was the son of Thomas Alexander McKENZIE and Elizabeth McKENZIE of Wonga, Foster in Victoria. I am in possession of his Victory Medal. I would like to re-unite his British War Medal and Memorial Plaque if possible; and have listed a request for his BWM on another listing.
