I am trying to locate my great-grandfather's missing First World War medals. His name was Thomas RUTHERFORD and according to the First World War Embarkation Roll, he left Sydney aboard the SS Makarini on the 1st of April, 1916. His service number was 5207 and he served with the 1st Infantry Battalion, AIF. I know where they were up until 1967 (with his brother), but then his brother died. No one in his brother's family seems to have them. Any assistance to find these missing war medals would be greatly appreciated.

Service No: NX118619

Unit No: 130

Corps/Service: Engineers

Country: Australia
I am searching for my grandfather's war medals, which have been missing from my family for some time. His name was John DELLA-CA and he was born on the 14th of February, 1913. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, he was a Lance Sergeant with the 130 Australian Brigade Workshop of the Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. I am not sure exactly what medals he was issued, but am making inquiries with the Directorate of Honours and Awards. So he may have had a 1939-1945 Star, Pacific Star and a Defence Medal as well as the 1939-1945 War Medal and the 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal.
