I am searching for the Second World War medal (1939-1945 Australia Service Medal) of Private James Herbert PARKER who was born on the 1st of April, 1920 at Auburn in Victoria. The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that he enlisted into the Second AIF on the 29th of May, 1940 and served with the 2/2 Pioneer Battalion. Sadly, he lost his life on the 12th of September, 1944 and according to the C.W.G.C. records (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) his name is recorded on the Labuan Memorial in Malaysia. His next of kin was Richard John PARKER and his mother was Ethel May Lillian PARKER of Hawthorn in Victoria. Any assistance in helping my family to recover this medal would be greatly appreciated.
