Medal Type: WW2 - 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal

Service No: PM2142

Corps/Service:
Navy

Country: Australia
This Second World War medal (1939-1945 Australian Service Medal) was part of a group of six that were awarded to my grandfather, William Robert REDMOND. He served in the Royal Australian Navy for over six years, mainly on destroyers. The World War Two Nominal Roll has him enlisting into the RAN on the 01st of September, 1939 and discharging on the 26th of November, 1945. It is unknown if this medal has become seperated from the other medals or is still mounted as part of a 'set'.
