Wandering Warriors – Our Diggers need your help!

Australian-FlagIf there is one group of men who rarely ask for help from anybody, it is the Australian Special Air Service – more commonly referred to as the SAS.  So when we find these men asking for assistance …. it is typical that their request is not to benefit themselves personally …. but to help their mates.

So if you have not heard of the Wandering Warriors, please read on.

The Department of Defence and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs care for wounded and injured diggers, but there is a limit to entitlements, grants, programs and funding. Wandering Warriors Incorporated is a charity which raises funds to help fill the gap between government funding and the sum which is actually required to support our veterans.

These people who guard our shores voluntarily sacrificed the luxuries which we take for granted.  Christmas at home …. being there for our kid’s birthdays ….. a stable family life ….. going out for weekends with friends.  They did this with little fanfare and the rare occasions when you see them on television is when they have lost one of their own.  Well it is about time that we gave something back.

Support WANDERING WARRIORS by clicking here and visit their website.  Our servicemen and women have donated their blood, sweat and tears to keep our country safe.  The very least we can do is to donate a few dollars to support them (and their carers) when they come home.  Better still, click here and buy a cap!  And show our diggers that you are a supporter of the Wandering Warriors.  We just did!
