My family is searching for the missing Second World War medals of our grandfather, Albert William COX. Albert was born on 18 August, 1916 at Hay in New South Wales. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, he enlisted into the Second AIF (Australian Imperial Force) on 3 July, 1940. He served at Tobruk in the Middle East and was wounded, resulting in his discharge on 28 December, 1942.

We believe that his missing war medals comprise of:- 1939-1945 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal, 1939-1945 War Medal and the 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal. He also received the Tobruk Service Medal. We have placed a story about his service on the Medals Gone Missing website, along with the only photo that we have of him, wearing his medals before they became lost to our family. Any assistance in helping us to find these missing medals would be greatly appreciated.
