These photographs (some of which show Willi HUBER and others of battlefield scenes) were contained in a photograph album, but unfortunately the merchant would not sell the entire album and insisted on selling the photographs individually. This meant that only a part of the collection could be purchased by Medals Gone Missing. It is hoped that the descendants of Willi HUBER can be located and the remainder of the photographic collection purchased. Post World War Two R.A.A.F Dog Tags, issued to J.C. Walsh (Royal Australian Air Firce) Service Number A2216. The dog tags denote that this serviceman was of the Roman Catholic faith, and A Negative Blood Type. These dog tags were offered for sale on the open market on the 11th of April, 2011 but failed to sell. Second World War Demobilisation Book, issued to Private Margaret Adamson KERSHAW of the Australian Women's Army Service. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, this servicewoman was born in Fremantle, Western Australia and enlisted into the A.W.A.S. on the 15th of September, 1943. Margaret KERSHAW discharged on the 25th of October, 1945. Her next of kin was David DONALD. This Demobilisation Book was offered for sale on the open market, but failed to sell on the 17th of April, 2011. Second World War certificate awarded to Private Albert LAURIA who served with the 112 Light Anti Aircraft Unit in the 1939-1945 War. This certificate was issued by the residents of the Cloverlea, Gainsborough & Darnum District of Victoria as a sign of their appreciation. The Medals Gone Missing Administrator was outbid for this item when it was offered for sale on ebay Australia. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, Albert LAURIA was born at Melbourne on the 8th of January, 1924 and enlisted into the A.M.F. (Militia) on the 16th of March, 1942. He discharged on the 8th of July, 1942. Albert's next of kin was Santo LAURIA.

Pre-First World War (or early First World War) photograph/postcard of a man who has signed his name "V. FORBES" on the image. This may in fact be Valentine Cameron FORBES who served with an Artillery Unit before the outbreak of the Great War. This photograph is of a young man who is wearing a militia style uniform. His cap badge on the peaked cap, bears the "flaming bomb" emblem which is associated with a bombadier. The metal shoulder flashes attached to his epaulettes may be the intials 'R.A.A.' which could stand for "Royal Australian Artillery". However the image is not clear and this information is gleaned by way of a magnifying glass. Subsequently this report is not conclusive. A search of Valentine's First World War service record on the National Archives of Australia, indicate that he was currently serving with an Artillery unit at the time of his enlistment into the AIF. Subsequently, this militia style photograph corresponds with his service record. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he left Melbourne on the 17th of July, 1915 aboard HMAT Orsova (A67) as a member of the SAB (Seige Artillery Brigade). Gunner Valentine Cameron FORBES was gassed in France, but survived the war and returned to Australia. The photograph was purchased on ebay during March 2011 and Medals Gone Missing is seeking a relative of Valentine in the hope that his identity can be confirmed and the postcard returned to it's rightful home.

First World War Postcard sent from a British soldier whose surname obviously was 'GREEN' to his young son, George GREEN of 16 Hope Street, Southport in England. From this name and address, it is hoped that a descendant of Master George Green will make contact with us during research into your family tree. Pattern 37 cotton webbing, waiste belt in used condition. This belt bears the name R.R. GORDON and a service number of 5/400346 (though I have not been successful in finding this name and number on either the World War Two Nominal Roll, the Korea War Nominal Roll or the National Archives Of Australia. The belt was purchased in November 2010 from ebay for $7.25 AUD. It is NOT FOR GENERAL SALE and will only be sold back to the family of R.R. GORDON upon proof of relationship.

Pre Second World War leather leggings; commonly referred to as "Light Horse" leggings. Issued to Corporal Aubrey Donald SHAW when he served in No. 2 Troop, "B" Squadron of the 7th Light Horse Regiment (Harden). The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that Aubrey Donald SHAW served in the A.M.F (Australian Military Forces or Militia) prior to joining the AIF (Australian Imperial Force). He was born on the 11th of September, 1921 at Galong (near Harden in New South Wales) and served with the 2/4th Armoured Regiment. Subsequently, these items are also listed under his "NX" number. These leggings are NOT FOR GENERAL SALE and the Medals Gone Missing Administrator would like any living relative of Aubrey to make contact.
