M.M + WW1 Trio

Service No: S/16252

Unit No: 6th Cameron Highlanders

Corps/Service: Infantry

Country: United Kingdom
Hi Everyone. I'm here on a bit of a mission. My Uncle lived in the London region until he died. Unfortunately once we cleared the house we have not been able to locate my Grandfather's WW1 medals. We think unfortunately they might have been sold for one reason or another. My family is desperate to track these down and there is a reward for the location of them. They were last seen in a frame. There were three of them. The Military Medal, The 1914 Star and The Victory Medal. The Military Medal will have my Grandfather's name on it. These are incredibly important to us as he was the only one of his brothers to return from The Great War. He was part of the 6th Battalion of The Cameron Highlanders. His name was John MacInnes. If you have them or know of any leads I could try please DM me. As I said there is a reward and you will be compensated. I would like them to return to my father before he passes as he is very ill. Thank you for your time. Please share as much as you can. Any lead is helpful. PLEASE SEE OUR BLOG IN THE MEDALS GONE MISSING ARTICLES OF INTEREST!

Country: South Africa
I am searching for the missing war service medals of my father. His name was Joseph Frederick Lorenzo FERRAMOSCA. He had three medals which went missing during a move. The missing war service medals consist of the Italy Star, the 1939-1945 War Medal and the 1939-1945 South Africa Service Medal. All three medals should have his name impressed (on the rear for the Italy Star and on the rim for both of the round medals). Any assistance in helping me to recover these missing war medals would be greatly appreciated.

U.K. Four - (Burma,Defence)

Service No: D/JX 238696

Unit No: HMS Cornwall

Corps/Service: Navy

Country: United Kingdom
I am searching for the family of Frank KIRBY who was killed during the Second World War. Able Seaman Frank KIRBY was a British sailor born in the United Kingdom and serving in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. He had survived the sinking of HMS Cornwall (200 miles South West of Ceylon) in April 1942 and there is no explanation as to how he came to be on board Kuttabul; other than the fact that Kuttabul was a depot ship where sailors often found themselves temporarily placed and in between postings. Frank KIRBY was 26 years of age at the time of his death. If you are related to Frank, there is an organisation in Australia which is called the Kuttabul Commemoration Project and they would like to make contact with you.
