Tragically, he was killed in a flying accident (Wirraway crash) in south east N.S.W on the 16th of September, 1943 with Sq.Ldr MATTHEWS. I am seeking to locate his family regarding this incident. I am serching for my fathers medals. His name is Alexander COLES and he was born on the 19th of September, 1892. He served in the British Army in WW1 and the Australian C.M.F during WW2. His next of kin was Isabel COLES and he enlisted in Doonside NSW. He enlisted on the 16/07/1941 and discharged on the 30/11/1942. The WW2 Nominal Role has him serving with the 22 Garrison Battalion on discharge. I am willing to pay costs.
