I'm seeking the return of my Grandfather's war service medals. The medals came in a blue marble finish cardboard box. Corporal Donald Chalmers FRASER was in 8 Div Postal Corps when Singapore fell in 1942. He subsequently became a POW in Changi and the Thai-Burma railway. He survived the war to live to a ripe old age. His medals were lost on Anzac Day 2009. Any assistance in helping my family to recover these medals would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for the Second World War Medals (Pacific Star, Defence Medal, 1939-1945 War Medal + 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal) which were issued in 1950 to Captain Arthur George BECKHOUSE. He was born on the 17th of February, 1913 at Armidale. The World War Two Nominal Roll indicates that he enlisted into the Second AIF on the 15th of August, 1941 and discharged on the 21st of January, 1946. Unfortunately, the medals were lost some time after they were issued. It would be nice to have all the family medals together, so if you could please assist me in having these medals returned to our family, please contact us.

He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. The First World War Embarkation Roll records indicates that he boarded HMAT Port Sydney on the 9th of May, 1917. His full name was William Henry METCALFE and he served as a driver with the 10th Service Battalion, the Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment. This was part of the 69th Brigade, 23rd Division. I do not know his service number, however the medals should be stamped with his name W.H.METCALFE. Any assistance in helping me to locate these medals would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for the First World War Medal (Victory Medal) of Private George William SYRON. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he left Sydney on the 24th of August, 1916 aboard HMAT Anchises. He served with D Company of the 34th Infantry Battalion. The CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) records indicate that he died of wounds on the 3rd ofJune, 1917. He is buried Trois Arbres Cemetary, Steerwerck. It is 1mile East of Steenwerk 3 1/2 miles w.n.w of Armentieres. He was the son of Patrick and Mary Ann Syron of NSW but he was born in Foster, Victoria.

He served with the Norfolk Regiment and later transferred to the Notts and Derby Regiment. At this time, he was allocated the service number 27390. His service number later changed to TU/374824 and so I have made an extra listing under both serial numbers. Any assistance in helping me to locate these medals would be deeply appreciated.
