I am searching for the missing First World War Medals of Private Sidney Arthur CRACKNELL. He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. Private Sidney Arthur Cracknell served in the King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was born 10 November 1899 at Monk Soham, Suffolk, England. He died, of wounds received in action, at Southwark Military Hospital, East Dulwich, London, on 16 December 1918. Next of kin was his mother Mrs Kate Hawes of Walsham le Willows, Suffolk. According to the CWGC records (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) Sidney Arthur Cracknell was buried at Walsham le Willows. Any assistance in helping me to recover these missing war service medals would be very much appreciated.

According to the First World War Embarkation Roll, Horace Gordon ABBLITT boarded HMAT Ascanius (A11) at Port Melbourne on the 10th November, 1915. At this time, he was on strength of the 12 Infantry Battalion, AIF. Subsequently, his 1914-1915 Star may reflect this.

I am searching for the missing First World War medal of Cyril Hurst BECK. According to the First World War Embarkation Roll, he boarded HMAT Kanowna (A61) on the 24th of June, 1915 at port Adelaide. At this time, he was on strength of the 16 Infantry Battalion, AIF. The serial number of the medal awarded to Cyril was 14591 (as per his Service Record on the National Archives of Australia website). My family is desperately seeking to reunite it with his other medals. We believe it was lost about 44 years ago. Any assistance to help us locate this missing medal from the Great War would be deeply appreciated.

My family is searching for the missing war service medals of Private William Cooke STATHAM. The medal set consists of the 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. William Cooke STATHAM served in the 6th Battalion of the Leicestershire Regiment, of the British Army. The missing war medals of William Cooke STATHAM have not been seen since the 1980s - and are being sought by his grandson and family. It would mean the world for these to be returned. Similar medals available for trade if this helps. With the centenary of the First World War now upon us, it is very important to my family that we have a tangible reminder of Williams military service during the Great War. Many thanks.
