I have a last address of 49 Adelaide Road, Wellington in New Zealand. I ONLY WISH TO RETURN THESE MEDALS TO HIS FAMILY. They are not for general sale and will be returned to the family upon proof of decendancy at my descretion.

The World War Two Nominal Roll has him enlisting into the 2nd AIF on the 29th of April, 1941 and discharging on the 27th of October, 1945. His next of kin is listed as Dulcie Cartwright. These medals are NOT for general sale and we wish to have them returned to the family only, upon proof of relation.

Trooper John Edward HICKEY, of the 2nd Re-Mount Unit, AIF. Born in Kempsey on the 26th November, 1884. He enlisted on the 20/10/1915. The First World War Embarkation Role has him leaving Sydney on the 10th of November, 1915 aboard HMAT Orsova. Accidentilly wounded in 1917, he returned to Australia on the 26th of July, 1919. This medal is part of a broken set - he was also awarded the 1914/15 Star and the Victory Medal. After the war, he lived at Corindi (south of Grafton) and Lismore. I only wish to return this medal to his family and will require proof of decendancy.

He enlisted in the AIF on the 03/06/1940 and discharged on the 26/10/1945. He served with the 2/9th Field Regiment in Africa. His next of kin was Marie NORRIS. I will only return this medals to the family with proof of lineage. Cost to be negotiated.
