First World War medal (British War Medal) awarded to Able Seaman A. GUTHRIE whose service number was TZ-6365. Able Seaman Andrew GUTHRIE served with the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserved (R.N.V.R.) as a member of the Nelson Battalion, Royal Naval Divisioin. Sadly, he was killed in action on the 24th April 1917 at Gavrelle. According to the C.W.G.C (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) records, Andrew GUTHRIE was the son of George and Ellen D. Guthrie, of 7 Plummer Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Arras Memorial. This medal has been offered for sale on Ebay Australia, but failed to sell on the 31 October, 2012. If you are the current owner of this missing medal, or if you are a descendant of Andrew GUTHRIE, please contact the Medals Gone Missing Administrator. With the centenary of the Great War (1914-2014) it is highly likely that a family member of Andrew will be seeking the return of this missing war medal.

(Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve) as a member of the Hood Battalion, Royal Naval Division. This man was awarded the Military Medal for "Bravery in the Field" for action on the 24 September, 1918 (LG 11.2.19) This medal has been offered for sale on Ebay Australia, but failed to sell on the 31 October, 2012. I would like to return to his descendants, a medal from the Great War which was awarded to Private John HUCKLE. According to the First World War Embarkation Roll, John HUCKLE boarded the S.S. Port Nicholson on the 8th November, 1916 at Port Sydney. I have been told he came from Euabalong near Condobolin NSW. I would like to return it to his family, but have been unable track them down. Wanting to return the Great War medals (Victory Medal and British War Medal) of Private Alec ROLFE to his descendants. This man served in the British Army during World War One. Alec ROLFE had the Service Number 67926 and served with the Devonshire Regiment. Somehow the medals ended up in New South Wales, Australia. Also .... I am looking for the missing British War Medal which was awarded to my grandfather - George Christopher HUTCHINSON who served in the Australian Army (AIF or Australian Imperial Force) if anybody has any information regarding either of these servicemen, I would certainly like to hear from you via the Medals Gone Missing website.

Second World War medal (1939-1945 War Medal) awarded to Samuel William John WILSON who was born in Sudest, New Guinea on the 8th April, 1892. This man is believed to have New Guinea native and white parentage; but was adopted by Mr. Robert John (Jack) CRAIG of Cairns, Queensland. Samuel William John WILSON served in the AIF during the Great War and returned to Australia in 1919. He re-enlisted into the V.D.C (Volunteer Defence Corps) in 1942 and discharged in 1943, resulting in this medal entitlement. This 1939-1945 War Medal was purchased by Medals Gone Missing from ebay on the 22nd February, 2011 and we are looking to make contact of a direct descendant of Samuel or his adopted father, Robert John CRAIG. This medal is NOT FOR GENERAL SALE and will only be sold back to a descendant upon very strict proof of relationship. Samuel's First World War medals (1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal) are missing and we are looking to reunite this medal group.
