A First World War Victory Medal awarded to Harry WARBURTON has been placed in the custody of Medals Gone Missing, pending the location of a descendant. Harry WARBURTON was born in Turnbridge, Huddersfield in West Yorkshire England. He enlisted into the Chatham Division of the Royal Marine Light Infantry on 29 January, 1914 well before the outbreak of war. His next of kin (father) was listed as residing at 79 Crossland Street, Crosland Moor in Huddersfield. Whilst the impression of Harry's name and service number have been mostly erased, there are still sufficient evidence to confirm this is in fact his First World War Victory Medal. The medal is not for general sale will only be returned upon strict proof of relationship upon the satisfaction of the gentleman who owns this medal and wishes to have it returned to the descendants of Harry WARBURTON.
